Holiday Road

Originally I'd had wild ideas about posting photos and journal entries from each of the countries on my voyage home, but deep down I was fairly sure that if I was having a proper good time, there wouldn't be time or energy left over to be alerting the internets. There have been some major issues with Dave's internet connection here in Bangkok as well which have held me back, but it's probably due to the fifteen local street cats hanging off the cable, and can't really be helped. Hopefully I'll kick start the real updates when I finally land in Australia, which is in about three days, given various time zone calculations and prevailing ladyboy conditions.

The quick version is everything on my trip has been amazing. I have about a thousand stories to tell, almost all of them fantastic and the others fairly amusing. I've seen a fair bit of Japan, explored and been pampered in Bangkok, done my PADI Open Water scuba diving course on an island off the coast of Thailand, seen some thoroughly excellent old friends and made a few new friends as well. I've taken literally thousands of photos. It will take quite a while to sort, upload and describe them all. My back is still in one piece, I haven't lost my luggage and I haven't had sex with any Swedish backpackers. I still have a few days left though, so we'll see what I can rustle up. More soon.
