Googledate, Googletime

I wrote my own little web calendaring system in PHP and MySQL awhile back, and although it's served me well, it's really just a weekend bodge job. It does exactly what I want, and no more. When Google Calendar arrived on the scene, I decided that I'd have to pipe my stuff across and start using that, because it's really quite nice. It's got a slick, Web 2.0, curved corner interface and solid functionality, but I wasn't going across without my data. Well, I finally caved to Scott's good-natured badgering and actually did it. I learned a couple things about the CSV file format it uses in the process, and decided to write it all up in a tech article. It's probably not that interesting unless someone's right in the middle of the conversion process, but that might just be you.
